Wreaths Across America is a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring our veterans buried at national cemeteries around the world by placing wreaths on their grave-sites each Christmas season. Its mission is to Remember - Honor - Teach. We must remember the sacrifices of our men and women in uniform; we must honor their service; and we must teach our younger generations that "Freedom is Not Free." This is the same organization that provides the wreaths that are sponsored for Arlington National Cemetery, and many people are familiar with the iconic winter scene showing the wreaths on the graves:
The 2014 campaign has concluded, but the 2015 campaign is already under way!! You may use the form below and submit it to us with your check made out to Wreaths Across America TM. Forms and checks should be mailed to Blue Star Mothers of Coastal Carolina, P.O. Box 30307, Myrtle Beach, SC 29588.
It is important to submit your sponsorship through us, as we are registered as a "3 for 2" sponsor. This means that, for every two wreaths ordered through us, Wreaths Across America provides a 3rd wreath for free.
So...skip a night out for dinner and put just $15 aside for a wreath to honor our veterans. Better yet, purchase 2 for $30 and we will receive a third wreath for free. Essentially, it brings the cost down to $10 per wreath. What a small sacrifice to make to honor our veterans, who sacrificed so much to protect the freedoms we all enjoy!!
To retrieve the form, simply place the cursor over the form, right-click, and open the form in a new tab. Then you can print is out, complete it, and mail it!!
The 2015 wreath-laying ceremony at Florence National Cemetery will take place at noon on Saturday, December 12, 2015. The public is invited to attend and encouraged to help with the placing of the wreaths. We hope to see you there!!
Our 2014 campaign was very successful...thanks to all who supported our efforts. The combined sponsorships for Florence National Cemetery generated a record 4,167 wreaths, which is about 1,500 more than we had in 2013. Once again, Blue Star Mothers of Coastal Carolina and many of our local veterans groups along the Grand Strand, were responsible for about half that total. However, it is far short of covering all 11,600+ graves at Florence National Cemetery, so we are committed to making 2015 an even bigger and better year by starting our campaign earlier in the year. Watch for announcements of upcoming fundraisers, and please help us out by seeking donations from businesses that you frequent...every little bit helps!!
Here are some pictures from the ceremony at Florence National Cemetery on Saturday, December 13, 2014.
The pictures below were from the ceremony on
December 15, 2013.
In 2013, the total wreaths for Florence National Cemetery were 2,617, of which 1,262 were sponsored through Blue Star Mothers of Coastal Carolina.
Blue Star Mothers of Coastal Carolina secured 960 wreaths for 2012!!! That was 400 more than 2010, and nearly half of the 2100 total wreaths for Florence National Cemetery, which now has over 11000 veterans' graves. Thanks to all who supported this wonderful program and came out on Saturday, December 15th to participate in the ceremony and wreath-laying.
If you, your business, organization, group or family would like to sponsor a wreath, please contact email@example.com. We will be pleased to email you a form and a letter describing the event and sponsorships. Wreaths sponsorships are $15 each and anyone sponsoring 10 or more wreaths will have it acknowledged on the program at the event. There are over 12000 veterans' graves at Florence National Cemetery and for 2012 we could only get about 2100 wreaths sponsored. Please help us bring that number up for 2013!!!
We need the community's help with this event. Please pass this information on to your friends and family.
Print out the form and give it to your boss and co-workers. We can not do this without your help. We will be glad to come speak to your group or organization concerning this. Just email us your info and we'll be back to you in no time!
Our goal is to one day have a wreath for every grave. Every one of them deserves nothing less!
